The new PW1100G engine model is manufactured by Pratt & Whitney (USA). The engine entered into commercial service in January 2016. The PW1100G family with a thrust range of 24,240 – 33,110 (lbs), is one of two powerplant options available to power the Airbus A320neo narrow-body family of aircraft comprising the A319neo, A320neo & A321neo.
