LEAP-1A

The new LEAP-1A engine model is manufactured by CFM International; a 50/50 joint venture between General Electric (USA) & Safran Aircraft Engines (France). The engine entered into commercial service in July 2016. The LEAP-1A family with a thrust range of 24,000 – 35,000 (lbs), is one of two powerplant options available to power the Airbus A320neo narrow-body family of aircraft comprising the A319neo, A320neo & A321neo.
